The Best Beaches Near Jacksonville


We admit it. We are very lucky to have some of the most beautiful beaches in Jacksonville and surrounding areas. But not all beaches are the same and we are here to highlight the main attractions of each local beach.
Fernandina Beach is the northernmost beach in Florida. Located on Amelia Island, it's home to the annual Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival. Aside from the beach is the historic downtown that includes many unique shops. 
A convenient beach for many Jacksonville locals is Jacksonville Beach. There are a lot of fun restaurants and bars, just blocks from the beach for a nice meal after a day spend at the beach. If you're a surfer, this beach has some of the best waves in the area. 
If you are looking for some unique features, add Little Talbot State Park to your list. This beach has bikes paths, hiking paths, and driftwood that everyone loves to see. 
Another beach that includes a a number of local favorite seafood restaurants is Mayport Beach. Located here is also Hanna Park with many options for families, including a splash park, mountain bike trails, hiking trails, and many options for having a picnic.
Looking for some shark teeth? Locals know that Mickler Beach is the place to find them! Dog-friendly, this Ponte Vedra beach is a perfect spot to visit.
Last, but not least is Neptune Beach. Located a block from the beach is a shopping center filled with boutique shops and an array of great cuisine.
